O concerto terminou com vários covers, incluindo “Rockin’ in the free world” (Neil Young), “Imagine” (John Lennon) e “Comfortably Numb” dos Pink Floyd.

When Pearl Jam first came to Portugal, I was there. They performed at Pavilhão Dramático de Cascais in 1996, my first concert ever! It was epic!
There were two concerts dates and I was only able to get tickets for the second date. It was worth it, though, because Eddie Vedder climbed up the metal structure of the stage and jumped into the ecstatic crowd.
Since then I have attended another three of their concerts, including the last one at Nos Alive. It was exactly what I had expected and hoped for – a little calmer than before but with important, current messages.
The concert ended with several covers, including “Rockin in the Free World” (Neil Young), “Imagine” (John Lennon) and “Comfortably Numb” by Pink Floyd.
I raise my glass of red wine to Eddie Vedder and also to Alice in Chains (you too, Layne Staley) and to Chris Cornell (a beautiful tribute by Matt Cameron on his T-shirt).
Cheers to Grunge!
