Diz a lenda que, outrora, havia ouro em Abrantes e é desta história que surge a peça AURANTES/ABRANTES, de Diogo Aguiar Studio.
“Aurantes”, do latim, significa “os que procuram o ouro” e este foi o ponto de partida para o coletivo de arquitectura Portuense.
Revestida a branco e dourado, e com uma estrutura em ferro que suscita a curiosidade de quem passa, a obra engrandece um recanto da cidade, num cruzamento entre Arte e Arquitetura.

Legend has it that once there was gold in Abrantes and that’s the story behind AURANTES/ABRANTES, by Diogo Aguiar Studio.
“Aurantes” is a latin word that means “the ones who seek for gold” and this was the starting point for this team of architects from Porto.
Coated in white and gold, and with iron structure that catches the attention of the ones passing by, the work elevates this corner, where Art and Architecture come together.
